The History of Cannabis Vaping and Vaporizing Weed | Cilicon
Cannabis vapor may seem like a new phenomenon or even a temporary fading, but its accumulated history dates back to antiquity, unknowingly tied to the history of cannabis use. In fact, the first record of cannabis vapor is found in The Histories, the first known historical work of the famous Greek writer Herodotus. This work, first published in 430 BC, describes the evaporative experience of an ancient nomad known as the Scythians, who lived in ancient Egypt at the time of the story. The Scythians kept the horn seeds in the red-hot rocks until they evaporated, so they took in steam.
While the exact effects of steam are unknown, the Scythians were told to "cry out for joy" during the experience. Although the process is different from the steam we are familiar with today, the basic ingredients remain the same. But are not burned, so that they release vapors.
