CLEAN-UP PROGRESS UPDATE ON THE ACCIDENT
A total of 34,421 cu m of water and fuel mixture has been collected in the area around HPP-3 and the Ambarnaya River. 2,612 cu m of the mixture has been separated at the HPP-3 site.
At the Ambarnaya River, a total of 422,816 sq m of land has been cleaned, with 99,370 kg of sorbents used and 349,020 kg collected.
12 sets of containment booms and 28 sets of sorbent booms have been installed.
Neftetank completes pumping of water and fuel mixture collected from the Ambarnaya River after the HPP-3 spill to the Lebyazhye tailings dam.
As of 8 September 2020, Neftetank has pumped nearly 15,000 cubic meters of the mixture. Along with the pumping operations, the company is finalizing works to build the main field storage unit from which the mixture will be transferred to the Lebyazhye tailings dam.
It has installed and put into operation 84 tanks to store the collected water and fuel mixture. In the near future, 23 more tanks will be added as they become available and can be delivered from the tundra, where they have been used for temporary holding of the water and fuel mixture pumped from the Ambarnaya River.
